Tutorial: No-Fray Kanzashi Folding Method

You’re free to use this for your own kanzashi- even the ones you sell. Kanzashi are beautiful, but their tendency to fray makes these Japanese hair ornaments a bit annoying at times, as well as decreasing their shelf life. Hopefully using this method will help, just a little. It’s based on the traditional method, but altered a bit to result in stronger kanzashi, with the individual petals being thicker and the ends tucked inside, so that no frayable edges are exposed.

I found this art site (from a link at da) that sells TOTALLY ADORABLE bookmarks and stickers, and I thought that I would share it. :) I’ve posted thumbnails of some of my favorites (the cutesy ones!) but they also sell art prints and products featuring samurai, chibi characters, etc. There are even laptop skins for sale, and the site owner takes commissions for custom art.

I recently got a site-wide feature at SheezyArt for my piece Lady of Butterflies. :3

God’s grace is so great. I had been trying so hard to promote my art in my own power, but then I decided to seek God instead and spend that time reading His Word. In one day, I received a site wide feature, one confirmed commission and I have two possible sales coming up. It’s much better to live in the system of The Blessing than in the system of toiling. :3
