Had to blog this, because it impressed me. This entire fake coral reed is made of crocheted yarn!!

I’ve toyed with the idea of making crocheted coral and anenomes before (hey, I’m a sea nerd…) but it never occured to me that one could make an entire reef. 0__0 (no, don’t worry, I’m not going to try it!! ^^; )

You can view the LARGE version of it + fave/comment here:

Photo by 6060eyes (who runs the 6060 etsy store for amigurumi parts. She sells handpainted animal eyes there- which, yes, come in 12mm size and work great for Dals/Pullips. The prices aren’t that bad (about $1 USD per pair, and you pick the colors) so if you have the cash and can’t paint well yourself, it’s worth checking out. The shop also has amigurumi/stuffed animal noses, owl-eyes, eyechips in other colors and who knows what else… It’s a good place to hit if you like amigurumi.

6060 also blogged the coral reef- with lots of pictures!- here @ her blog.
