I found this early 1920′s-written book “Knots Useful and Ornamental” in a local thrift mart (which regularly sells rare items.)
The book is about 200 pages long, and to the best of my knowledge, it’s now in the public domain (it’ so old that it doesn’t even have an ISBN number, and the publication date ia actually written in Roman numerals) but if this book *IS* still copyrighted by someone, feel free to contact me.
On the (almost nonexistent) chance that it’s still under copyright, I’m only scanning a few sample pages with instructions on traditional Japanese knots, which would be a valuable reference for Asian-inspired art and tying obijime or furisode adornments.
I really, really wish that someone would republish this book- it’s a wonderful resource for crafters.
